Art Trail

I was really thrilled when Sarah invited me to join the Collabor-ART community and one of the first projects I signed up for was to send some Mail art. I have never actually put any of my work "naked" into a letterbox before and I must admit to having some worries as it disappeared into the abyss!!
I made 2 postcards the first one was for Sarah.
This one is for Virginia.
The other aspect of taking part in the Art Trail is that you get other peoples Art popping through your letter box and my first arrival was from Lorraine. A beautiful card that has so many lovely techniques on that I have yet to try. Thanks Lorraine.
I know that one of my postcards has arrived, just waiting to hear that Virginia's has arrived then I can breathe a sigh of relief!!!
Thanks for looking.

Madonions CJ final pages

I have tucked myself away in my craft room for a couple of days and finally produced these pages for the CJ that is a swap!
This page is for Annette UKS Voodoo Vixen.
"Words and their definition."
This page is for Dorothy Anne.
" Ladies and lace".
This page is for Irene UKS Irboo.
"Flora and fauna."
I made this to go on the page but then decided there was enough already on the page, so I made an extra tag and popped that in with package as well.
This page was made for Karen UKS KJJC.
"Fun at the beach."
This page was made for Lyn UKS Honeypip.
" The Fae" (all things fairy).
This page was made for Frances UKS New2this.
"East is....."
They are all now in the hands of the post office!!!!
I hope they arrive safely and the recipients like them.
Thanks for looking.

UKS Art Journey Step 13

This week we went back to the basics of composition.
We needed to find some scrap paper and do each of the following and cut them out individually:
Stamp something.
Draw something.
Write something.
I did all three directly onto my page once I had a bit of a play with bits of paper.
However, I did stick to the basic principles and used the rule of thirds for composing my page.
Writing in black pen gives a slightly hidden aspect to my jounalling too.

Thanks for looking.

Creative Chemistry 101

Over the past 2 weeks I have been participating in and on-line class with Tim Holtz. The Creative Chemistry 101 class has been enlightening and fun to do, with PDF's everyday and demo videos. There was a forum where Tim answered questions everyday and where other participants could share their ideas and tips. I certainly feel that I got value for money. Although the class is not 'live' after the 8th April I have a lifetime access if I should need it. It is not too late to join in,
you can still go and purchase the class if you wish too.

Here are the 25 tags that I created using Tim's tutorials.
Blended Distress/Spritz and flick.
Brushless Watercolour.
Wrinkle-Free Distress.
Alchohol Ink Agates.
Archival Resist.
Stamping and embossing.
Watercolouring with Re-inkers.
Layered Misting.
Custom Stamp Pad.
Stained Kraft.
Stamping with Stains.
Marbled Stains.
Watercolour with Markers.
Blending with Markers.
Stamping with Markers.
Nostalgic Batik.
Rusted Enamel.
Distress Powder Resist.
( except I did not have any distress embossing powder!)
Paint Dabber Resist.
Crackle Paint Resist.
Shattered Stains.
Perfect Pearls distress Mist.
Perfect Pearls Distress Stamping.
Perfect Pearls Splatter Distress.
Rock Candy Distress Stickles.
I really enjoyed doing all these tags and I am sure I will be using a lot of these techniques again.
Thanks for looking.

April Tag

I have been participating in the Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry 101 class and I have used the tag I made in day 3 of the class as background for this months tag. Unfortunately I have no distress embossing powders (yet) so found the nearest substitute!
Thanks for looking.
