Advent Calendar

This year I was totally inspired by the 'Junk drawer Advent Calendar' over on 2gypsy girls blog.
I can thank Irene for the link and some of her junk drawer stash too!
This Calendar has given me the opportunity to use lots of broken jewellery bits that I have had tucked away for years.
I have had a lot of fun doing this project and even though I originally planned to add a tag a day to the board over the next 25 days I have decided to put them all on in one go and enjoy them for the whole of Advent!

My first Art Journal.

I have ventured into Art Journalling for the first time.
Irene a really lovely friend gave me a Pink pig sketch book.
She had hand embroidered a gorgeous cover for it so I really had to use it for something special.
Some of the pages are still waiting to be journalled on.

I have used paints/stamps and collaged elements.












Having filled up my first journal I have decided to explore what ideas are out in cyberspace. The first course that I signed up for is on Willowing and friends. Here is my effort, using water colour and acrylic paints for the first lesson:
